From 2015-2017, Brett was an Associate Research Officer and Project Leader in the Nanobiology Group at the National Institute for Nanotechnology in Edmonton, AB. In the McCormick lab, Brett is investigating studying virus-host interactions and developing new methods to manipulate the viral genomes, both for herpesviruses and coronaviruses. Eric’s PhD research in our lab was supported by scholarships from BHCRI and NSHRF. He defended his PhD on March 2019. His PDF studies are focused on mechanisms of herpesvirus protein synthesis. He is also leading several of our COVID-19 research projects.
